- The special 1980 Porsche 928 on offer was optioned with “paint to sample” Anthrazit Gray Metallic, along with a very rare 5-speed manual gearbox, while a majority of 928 cars were sold with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Under prior ownership, the car received a thorough mechanical refurbishment, including a rebuilt alternator, new fuel pump, front and rear brake pads, battery, hood struts, brake fluid, fuel lines, and tires. Under current ownership, over $10k in service has recently been performed by a Porsche specialist, including: complete shifter component rebuild, replacement of brake light switches and fuel injector seals, oil pan replacement, cleaning, reinstallation with new gasket, engine mounts replaced and entire top and bottom-end resealed, power steering system bled/flushed and components deep cleaned, A/C system refurbished, replacement of timing belt and water pump, new spark plugs and wires, intake system overhaul with new gaskets, boots, seals, mounts, and vacuum lines.
